- Here’s How
I believe the church in North America is in urgent need of reformation
—not through new programs or institutions,
but by returning wholeheartedly to the Word of God.
This means we as the Church need to:
A) Restore the centrality of Scripture in our thinking, affections, and actions
B) Cultivate holiness and obedience to Christ’s commands
C) Recover shepherding and life-on-life discipleship
D) Build genuine, family-like community in local churches and
E) Rekindle Great Commission–centered prayer and evangelism.
My prayer is that the Western church, drawing from its rich spiritual heritage, would once again be a faithful example and resource to the global body of Christ.
About Church Reform Today
Church Reform Today exists to call the North American church back to biblical faithfulness—restoring Scripture’s central place in worship, leadership, discipleship, and evangelism. Like Nehemiah rallying God’s people to rebuild, we aim to raise awareness of the church’s spiritual need and equip leaders to act.
Goals:
Train and support pastors and lay leaders.
Provide biblical resources—videos, audio, and written materials.
Host training events and workshops.
Partner with churches and church leaders to identify and address areas needing reform.
Our prayer is to see churches in North America return to biblical faithfulness one church at a time so that there may be long-lasting reform generation after generation to the Glory of God.
Church Reform Today Youtube Channel is the primary resource which we offer Bible teaching, practical application, and training resources to equip pastors, church leaders, and believers for ministry. Rooted in Scripture, these videos address urgent areas needing reform in the church — at the individual, family, and congregational levels — and provides tools for exegesis, application, and leadership development. Our aim is to strengthen the church’s spiritual foundations, foster obedience to Christ, and connect with like-minded believers for ongoing reformation work.

As a 1.5 generation Chinese-Canadian and having ministered in Chinese churches, Pastor James feels a particular burden to support Chinese-Canadian and Chinese-American churches in their journey for church reform. Chinese churches have their unique strengths and challenges which must be addressed via deep understanding of Scripture, culturally appropriate application and practical wisdom.
